Red River NM Ski Area boasts some of the best skiing and snow making in the Southern Rockies. They have everything for the entire family. It’s fun just to hang out in the former mining town of Red River, but you’ll find the alpine skiing and snowboarding on these 290 acres unforgettable. This family mountain has a vertical drop of 1,600 feet, and an average annual snowfall of 252 inches. The new triple chair lift will be ready to go on opening day (November 24) and "The Face" is already covered with snow.

Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski & Snowshoe Area

Nordic skiing in the nearby Enchanted Forest covers over 500 forested acres of the Carson National Forest that are regularly patrolled. They feature over 30 kilometers of groomed trails for skate and classic cross country skiing, in addition to 15 kilometers of snow shoeing trails. They even have 5 kilometers of trails for you to enjoy with your four legged friend if you want to ski or snowshoe with your dog. The Enchanted Forest is New Mexico's largest full-service cross-country ski area.
